Ruptures are from Southeren California and they played my backyard. While their output has been good, this EP saw them take away a lot of their melodic edge, and while the music is still groovy it has a sneakier chaotic edge to it. I dig this EP more than their earlier stuff because of that chaotic feel it entails. It could be a product that comes from their evolution of being a four piece to now a three piece. The band went from melodic post-hardcore to a little more rawer of a sound, dipping into almost indie dance music at times (The Red Light Sting comes to mind), and it works.
