Intestine Baalism is pretty much the pinnacle of the Japanese death metal scene. Formed back in '91, IB still keeps it oldschool as fuck without going stagnant like say... Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Morbid Angel, Cryptopsy, etc. (99% of their contemporaries). I guess it's because they've waited like 6 years between each release. Anyhow, Ultimate Insect is their third full length, from 2008, and it's what the dm scene's been craving forever, what oldschool revival bands like Bloodbath can't achieve.linky poo
